This weekend is for men (& sons who are 13 years & older--sons who are students can come for 1/2 price with their dad) to get away and have time to refocus on what God is saying to them in their roles as leaders in their home, workplace, and church.
In addition to the excellent teaching, we will be having some incredible food and fellowship. Excursions have been planned that are geared towards men and their different interests. The purpose of excursions is to program some off site activities geared towards menand their interests. These options include but are not limited to:
- Golf - at the nearby Woodland Park golf course. Sign up for this would require men to pay an additional fee to their camp registration fee for this activity.
- Off Roading – Guys who have four wheelers or dirt bikes would bring them and go off roading behind camp on the national forest service road which runs to Divide.
- Fishing – Those who want to fish can go to the Platte River or Eleven Mile Canyon for fly fishing and another group to Rampart Reservoir to bank fish or Eleven Mile Reservoir to boat fish . These two possible options would require separate excursion leaders and men would be required to carpool or drive themselves. Park entrance fees would be paid by participants.
- Hiking – There are several options for hiking. Option #1 would be hiking the Crags on the way to Cripple Creek. #2 Driving to Devils Head and hiking to the fire lookout tower. #3 Hiking Sheeps Head mountain behind camp.
- Canoeing – This would be done at Eleven Mile Reservoir, or Skagway Reservoir outside of Victor and could be combined with fishing.
